I was born in Santiago of Cali, a city founded on 1536 by Sebastián Moyano native of Belalcázar, city of which he took his last name.

Cali is a full city of joy, in where people is friendly and cosy, Cali was host of VI Pan-American games in 1971 and it has been host of events of world-wide stature as the Championship of Basketball championship of swimming, shutdowns of bycicle among others.

Cali is called the capital of the joy, sport Capital of America, Capital of the Salsa, the city of the beautiful women, celebrates events like the international kingdoom of the sugar cane, which is realize in December, in addition in the month to May it concentrates to great artists in the international festival of art.

The gastronomy in Cali is of great importance by the amount of meals that are very pleasant at the taste. Between recognized plates more is the Sancocho Vallecaucano, a broth that between its ingredients this the hen, the bananas, the yucca, coriander, parsley, salt and water.

The Valley of the Cauca is a department which it maintains the musical tradition in events like the Festival “Mono Núñez”, that goes in its version 35 and it is made in Ginebra, Other festival of great reputation is bandola, in Sevilla, the Petronio Festival Alvarez in Cali, Meeting of estudiantinas “Santa Cecilia” in Tuluá, Festival of the fog in Versalles, the Festival of the Marimba, festival of dances Mercedes Montaño and the oral tradition in Cali and Buenaventura, meet to artists of different manifestations too.
